JAMES RICHARD
INDUSTRIAL DESIGN & GRAPHICS
I believe that curiosity and ingenuity are two important traits that define us as humans. These traits also define my approach to design. I ask a lot of questions because at the end of the day, I like saying “I learned something” just as much as “I think I found a solution.”
I have been a creative ever since I could hold pencils, tape, and cardboard. My mind is always full of ideas for new projects, art pieces, and stories that I can bring to life.
In 2020 I graduated from Pratt Institute and have recently completed a degree in industrial design from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design.
During my time at MassArt, I gained almost two years of hands on industrial design experience interning for a prototyping and product development company in addition to receiving the Richard Keohan Design Innovation Award for my mechanical aptitude as well as second place in the MassArt IDSA merit awards.
I am currently looking for new opportunities that make use of my skillset and experience as an industrial designer.
